Odd-Even to Be Applied at 3 in 1 Zone

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama is about to enforce the odd-even license plate policy at 3 in 1 that was previously deleted. Thus residents can remain use vehicles on other lanes.

"If your license plate is odd, it doesn't mean you cannot ride a car in Jakarta. This is just replacing 3 in 1," said Basuki, at City Hall, Monday (6/20).

He added that most of the rules in the policy are the same as 3 in 1. But with the odd-even system, can avoid the jockey activity. "So we hope the system can avoid jockey," he expressed.

Odd-Even Plate Number Trial is in July

Besides that, the operational system is the same with 3 in 1. Considering both have the same purpose, that is to limit vehicle at rush hour. "The track is similar, likewise with its operational," he told.

If it has passed a predetermined time, other drivers are still permitted to pass. The policy plan will be tested in July. The system was implemented while awaiting the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP).

"If you have passed a predetermined, you are allowed to pass," he disclosed.
