Rebuild the bridge as a permanent structure to ensure public safety
The bridge was dismantled by the West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency to provide access for heavy equipment used in flood control work in the area.

However, the dredging project has been delayed due to the theft of parts from the heavy equipment used in the work, as well as vandalism. Replacement parts are currently pending availability.
Pramono expressed regret over the incidents, which have affected the completion of the project.
"Unfortunately, the equipment was vandalized and parts were stolen, leaving it unable to operate," he explained.
He therefore asked the Water Resources Agency to continue the dredging work. Once it is completed, the Jakarta Provincial Government will rebuild the bridge as a permanent structure to ensure public safety.
