Bank Jakarta Channels Rp326 Billion in Market Financing to Support MSMEs

Bank Jakarta has disbursed around Rp326 billion in financing to market traders across Jakarta, reaching 2,388 borrowers as of June 2026.

Provide healthy and affordable formal financing alternatives

The financing is supported by 243 Bank Jakarta Micro Centers located across Jakarta, bringing banking services closer to the communities' economic activity centers.

Bank Jakarta President Director Agus H. Widodo said the Micro Centers are an important part of the bank's strategy to understand the characteristics and financing needs of each business ecosystem.

"As a bank owned by the people of Jakarta, Bank Jakarta's transformation cannot be limited to making us bigger, more modern, and more digital. The transformation must bring us closer to the community and make us more relevant to Jakarta's economy," he said on Tuesday (9/1).

At Kramat Jati Wholesale Market, Bank Jakarta has provided Rp48 billion in credit to 167 traders. He said there is still significant potential to expand financing in the area, given that the market is one of Jakarta's key trading centers, with more than 5,000 business premises.

Bank Jakarta offers financing schemes ranging from People's Business Credit (KUR) to non-KUR financing, with loan limits of up to Rp500 million.

"The products are designed to provide healthy and affordable formal financing alternatives while reducing businesses' reliance on high-cost informal financing," he said.

He added that Bank Jakarta is not only focused on extending more credit but also on encouraging traders to connect with the digital ecosystem and improve their financial management.

"Today, they may be micro-business customers. Tomorrow, they may grow into small businesses and eventually medium-sized businesses. Bank Jakarta must remain by their side as they grow," he highlighted.
