250 Personnel Deployed to Prevent Street Vendor Occupation on Jalan Raya Bogor

To ensure public order, 250 Satpol PP personnel have been mobilized along Jalan Raya Bogor, Kramat Jati.

Vendors have been relocated to designated areas

According to Muhammadong, Head of East Jakarta Satpol PP, the personnel will remain on standby daily for the coming month. This move serves as an anticipatory step to prevent street vendors from reclaiming the pedestrian paths and roadsides.

"Vendors have been relocated to designated areas, such as Kramat Jati Lokbin," he expressed, Thursday (9/3).

He explained the personnel operate in two shifts: the first from 4 PM to 11 PM, followed by the second shift from 11 PM to 7 AM.

"We'll ensure that order in this area is well-maintained moving forward," he explained.

To support it, a command post has been set up in the parking lot of Lippo Plaza Kramat Jati, situated just south of the Kramat Jati Lokbin.

"This post will allow our men to efficiently oversee and monitor the situation along Jalan Raya Bogor," he noted.

Despite the monitoring is targeted for a one-month duration, the deployment could be reduced in stages once the situation is fully under control and vendors adhere to the arrangement rules.

"Essentially, our goal is to make sure that they (vendors) take up their spots according to what has been settled and agreed upon together," he emphasized.
