Mayor of East Jakarta, Bambang Musyawardana disclosed, in terms of human handling during floods, the region is ready. This is because related unit is also ready, such as urban village head, sub-district head until Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD).

"Floods happen this time is due to infrastructure, such as water channel that cannot accommodate the high flow of water. Whereas, garbage and mud are clean, because it has been cleaned by PPSU," he disclosed, Tuesday (6/21).

As in Cipinang River in Kampung Rambutan RW 03, was been installed with sheet pile and dike. Because of the low bridge position, it causes overflowing water from the river. Thus it needs to be elevated. While in Kampung Makasar, flood still often occurs because the river cannot accommodate the high flow of water.

Bambang assessed, flood is also due to human-caused greedy and careless. Even, the water absorption areas and riverbanks has become a dwelling.

"Automatically, the water will find the lower land, such as residential areas," he finished.
