"I'll personally focus on handling inundation, water channel and damaged road," said Mayor of North Jakarta, Wahyu Haryadi, Tuesday (6/2).

Wahyu explains such handling is more prioritized because North Jakarta position is lower than other cities. The city also becomes the estuary of 13 rivers in the capital.

As a result, North Jakarta is often hit by tidal wave (rob) and flood during rainy season that has an impact on residential areas and streets.

"Hence, mud dredging in the river and channel will be optimized. I also have instructed the headmen to be more serious handling each area," he finished.
