Seratusan Personel Gabungan Dikerahkan Menata Jalan Lematang

Joint Officers Arrange Lematang Road

Joint personnel of Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency, Public Works Sub-agency, Water Resources Sub-agency, Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency, and PPSU, controlled and cleaned Jalan Lematang RW 02, Cideng Urban Village, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Thursday (3/9).

Will implement an open-close system

Head of Gambir District, M Iqbal, said the activities were carried out to restore the road's function as a public facility. This included clearing out the street vendors' stalls that had previously blocked access to the road.

Illegal Parking Control Expected to Remain Facilitate Ojol Waiting Areas

He added that for many years, access to the Lematang RW 02 Cideng road has been closed using an iron fence for the convenience of local residents.

"In the future, the market gate will implement an open-close system to make it easier for other residents to access and pick up and drop off children attending SDN 02 Cideng," he added.

He explained that his side has also cooperated with related agencies to arrange water channel and park on Jalan Lematang.

"We hope that after it is arranged, there will be no more street vendor stalls blocking access to Jalan Lematang so that it looks neat and clean," he explained.

Head of RW 02 Cideng, Daniel Eka Cahyadi admitted access to Jalan Lematang, which is behind Tarakan Regional Hospital, was closed at the request of local residents for security reasons.

"Before access was closed, there were frequent crimes on Jalan Lematang since 2011. However, it became dirty because the road access was blocked by street vendors," he admitted.

"We really support the arrangement because by opening road access and arranging it, the area will become beautiful again," he stated.
