A Thief in Pasar Minggu Hit by Train

An accident on railway crossing occurs again in Volvo crossing, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Friday (5/2) around 11.00 AM. The death victim is suspected a motorcycle thief specialist who often acts in Kalibata Indah, Pancoran.

“His name is Ardianto, 24 years old from Makassar Sulawesi. The incident occurred around 11.00 AM,” said Comr Adri Desas F, Head of Pasar Minggu Police, Friday (5/2).

According to him, Ardianto was being chase by residents, and when he arrived at Volvo railway crossing on Jalan Kemuning Raya, he did not see a train passing from Pasar Minggu towards Kalibata. “ So he is being chased by residents. Because of afraid, he did not see a train and just crossed directly and finally hit ,” he explained.

Ardianto, who has 160 centimeter tall, was wearing blue jeans and white shirt and black jacket. “He died instantly with a wound on his head and back,” said Adri.

Some evidences in form of a screwdriver, a key letter L, a single dagger, a Blackberry, and some gold found from victim’s body. "There are also four different types of motorcycle keys," he added.

To investigate that case, Pasar Minggu police will question the railway crossing guard, Fauzi (50). The body then sent to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital to be autopsied.
