The South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency ensured that parking management in the Bendera pusaka Park area is increasingly organized.
More organized
Head of Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Bernad Octavianus Pasaribu said this arrangement was carried out to anticipate the emergence of illegal parking, especially in the Jalan Barito area, Kramat Pela Urban Village, Kebayoran Baru District.
Transportation Agency Confirms No Increase in Parking Rates"The Barito Street area is now more organized with the addition of the Bendera Pusaka Park. Several locations around the site are managed directly by the Parking Management Unit (UP)," he said.
Bernad explained that the public can identify official parking locations through a number of marking attributes, including blue P-shaped pole signs and special road markings provided to accommodate visitors' vehicles.
"Vehicles parked haphazardly or exceeding capacity will be controlled and categorized as illegal parking," he added.
He continued that parking management is monitored regularly to ensure optimal implementation of regulations. Parking Management Unit officers are also regularly deployed at official parking lots.
Moreover, the Sub-agency also cooperates with Satpol PP to conduct monitoring and patrol around the park.
This effort was made to prevent the emergence of new illegal parking spots that could potentially disrupt the smooth flow of traffic and the comfort of pedestrians.
"Hopefully it will be effective in solving the problems around the Bendera Pusaka Park," he hoped.
