12 Flood-Prone Areas Spread in East Jakarta

East Jakarta Administration keeps trying to reduce flood-prone areas in East Jakarta.

Ciliwung normalization program from  Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) is also important to solve puddle in East Jakarta

"Thus far, there are 12 locations that prone to flood in East Jakarta. We will work hard to overcome it," expressed Mayor of East Jakarta, Musyawardana, Wednesday (6/22).

According to him, there were previously 36 flood-prone areas. With effort and work hard, his party managed to reduce its number to 12 points.

Flood-Prone Areas in West Jakarta Believed to Be Reduced

Those 12 points are in Kebon Pala Urban Village (RW 01, 09, 10, 11), Cipinang Melayu Urban Village (RW 03, 04, 07), Dukuh Urban Village (RW 04 and 06), Cawang Urban Village (RW 01, 02, 03, 05, 08).

There are also Ciracas Urban Village (RT 08, 09, 10/RW 05), Susukan Urban Village (RT 08, 09, 10/RW 05), Cibubur Urban Village (RW 03), Rambutan Urban Village (RW 02, 05, 06), Kelapa Dua Wetan Urban Village (RW 09, 02), Kebon Pala Urban Village (RW 01, 09, 10, 11), Halim Perdana Kusuma Urban Village (RW 05) and Cililitan Urban Village (RW 06 and 07).

Besides public role, he furthered, PPSU is also very important in overcoming the puddle in such locations.

"Ciliwung normalization program from  Ciliwung-Cisadane Flood Control Office (BBWSCC) is also important to solve puddle in East Jakarta," he finished.
