Regional Government Building Construction Regulations Disseminated

The North Jakarta Public Works, Spatial Planning, and Land Sub-agency (CKTRP) held a socialization for the implementation of the construction of Regional Government buildings in the Pola Room, North Jakarta Mayor's Office.

The activity was attended by approximately 100 participants from various Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPDs) and planning consultants. The socialization aimed to foster a common understanding of regulations, technical procedures, and digital systems used in government building construction.

Head of the Agency, Vera Revina Sari said the construction of government buildings is not solely oriented towards the physical completion of the building, but must also guarantee aspects of safety and legal certainty.

"Government buildings are public facilities that must ensure the safety of officials and the public. Therefore, the entire construction process must meet clear technical and legal standards," she said, Thursday (9/24).

Vera explained that there are four main pillars in the management of regional government buildings. First, meeting technical reliability standards from the planning stage through to building utilization. Second, ensuring legality through PBG and SLF as building operational requirements.

"There is no compromise on legality. PBG and SLF are proof that the building is safe and suitable for use," she explained.

The third pillar, Vera continued, is system integration through SGPT to increase transparency and efficiency in building management processes. The fourth pillar is ongoing maintenance to ensure buildings remain safe and function optimally in the long term.

"Building maintenance doesn't stop when construction is complete. Regular maintenance is essential to prevent damage and extend the life of the building," she added.

Meanwhile, Head of North Jakarta CKTRP Sub-agency, Herry Priyatno stated a common understanding is needed so that each stage of development can meet applicable technical and administrative provisions.

"We provide technical and administrative guidance to participants, including understanding the Building Approval (PBG) procedures, Certificate of Functional Worthiness (SLF), and the use of the Integrated Regional Government Building System (SGPT) in technical assessments," he stated.

He hopes that this socialization will strengthen the understanding of regional apparatus and work partners regarding all stages of government building management.

"A good understanding of regulations and technical procedures will help minimize errors in the construction process, so that the resulting building is more orderly, safe and in accordance with regulations," he admitted.
