He explained that the feasibility inspection focuses on buildings with a Building Construction Permit (IMB) or Building Approval (PBG) with a height of less than eight stories. The inspection is conducted comprehensively.
"The aspects examined include the architecture, function and safety of the building, as well as the suitability of the building for its intended use," he explained.
The inspection also covers spatial planning, circulation, and building entry and exit. Safety and fire protection are a primary focus of the activity.
"For fire protection, we inspect active systems such as hydrants, fire extinguishers (APAR), alarms, and sprinklers, as well as passive protection systems such as fire doors, building partitions, and evacuation routes," he added.
The team also ensures the availability and clarity of evacuation signs and the condition of emergency stairs. Furthermore, building utilities, such as electrical installations and panels, and vertical facilities like elevators and escalators, are also inspected to ensure all supporting systems are functioning properly.
Meanwhile, South Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar stated inspection of all building structures is carried out as a form of fire prevention.
"I request that all buildings in South Jakarta be inspected in accordance with standard operating procedures without exception," he stated.
Anwar also instructed the ranks of districts and urban villages to identify potential problems related to disaster preparedness in the community.
