Vice Mayor of South Jakarta, Firmanuddin Ibrahim, invited environmental cadres and health officials to continue strengthening collaboration in preventing the spread of dengue fever, especially in facing the change of season from dry to rainy.

"We need to appreciate and respect their role. They constantly carry out their duties from one point to another to ensure that potential mosquito larvae are eliminated," he said, Friday (9/25).
Firmanuddin warned that a prolonged dry season would be followed by a rainy season. Therefore, increased vigilance and preventative measures are necessary, especially regarding places or objects that are prone to waterlogging.
"I also request that mosquito larvae monitoring be carried out routinely in the school environment by involving the school community, so that dengue fever prevention efforts can be carried out comprehensively and started early," he explained.
Meanwhile, Head of Kebayoran Baru District Community Health Center, Theresia Artati asked the cadres not to hesitate to convey the results of the Larvae Free Number (ABJ) examination in the implementation of PSN in the community.
She said that the more larvae found, the higher the level of vigilance that needs to be built by cadres and the community.
"Don't wait until there's a dengue fever case to find the larvae. Prevention must be implemented early and accompanied by independent community-based public health campaigns," she emphasized.
