PPSU Personnel Spruce Up Pancasila Sakti Monument Ahead of October 1

Around 100 personnel of Public Infrastructure and Facilities Maintenance (PPSU) were mobilized to spruce up the Pancasila Sakti Monument complex in Lubang Buaya, Cipayung, East Jakarta, ahead of the Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration on October 1.

The work involves sweeping inside and outside the monument

According to Diman, Head of Cipayung Sub-district, the personnel have been on the ground since Sunday (9/27) and will stay stationed at the complex until post-event cleanup operations wrap up.

"It aims to ensure that this historic landmark in the nation’s journey is kept spotless and orderly throughout," he expressed, Tuesday (9/29).

He explained that personnel from eight Cipayung urban villages joined forces with Air Force Paskhas, Bina Marga, and Environment Task Forces.

“The work involves sweeping inside and outside the monument, painting curbs and walls, and cleaning drainage channels," he explained.

He noted that aerial cables around the monument were tidied up and electrical panels were inspected to ensure they are in prime condition.

“To support the work, three Cipayung Environment dump trucks and two PPSU operational vehicles were deployed," he added.

Diman hoped that keeping the Pancasila Sakti Monument area clean and tidy would provide a more comfortable and secure experience.

“'This effort is also part of honoring our nation's heroes," he stated.
