"They managed to collect 132 ton of waste in short time. Their commitment is extraordinary," she added.
Nabilah stated that the residents' enthusiasm to celebrate the new year was high. It can be seen from the waste produced was higher compared to last year.
"We must to increase the resident's awareness in keeping the cleanliness," she stated.
Increasing the awareness, Nabilah continued, environmental-care campaign must be massively implemented. Starting from household waste management and up to private waste responsibility.
"Each of us must take responsibility for our own waste. It will lighten the cleanliness personnel burden. So that Jakarta will be healthier for us," she said.
She hopes Jakarta Provincial Government is able to tighten the education and training program related to waste management for residents.
"Government and community collaboration is needed. It is time for community to actively take part in creating clean, comfort and green Jakarta," she stated.
