Makeover Leaves Jalan Menteng Pulo II Green Space Greener

The Quarter III Priority Area arrangement on Jalan Menteng Pulo II, RT 01/12, Menteng Dalam Urban Village, Tebet Sub-district, South Jakarta, finally completed.

The arrangement itselt was conducted by transforming a previously unmaintained park into a greener, more useful, and attractive open space.

Menteng Dalam Urban Village Head Yayah Muliah said the restructuring took over two months with eight PPSU personnel split into two teams.

“This used to be an unmaintained, dead park. We turned it into a beautiful and attractive space," she expressed, Tuesday (9/29).

Yayah noted that the project succeeded through collaboration, including CSR material support from PT Adhimix and PT Pioneer, and help from locals.

“'We appreciate PT Adhimix, PT Pioneer, local RT/RW 12 administrators, and all residents for helping with this arrangement," she explained.

To boost aesthetics, the 15-square-meter park features various ornamental plants like aglaonema, croton, staghorn fern, spider plant, and Japanese bamboo.

“We also built a structure from tree trunk reliefs to catch the eye of passersby," she explained.

Yayah called upon all residents to collectively maintain and look after the restructuring outcomes delivered by the government by refraining from acts of vandalism and indiscriminate littering.

“I hope and encourage all locals to safeguard the newly developed area. Let us work together to preserve the sustainability and cleanliness of our environment," she remarked.

This arrangement work received appreciation from one of the locals, Cahyono.

"Though small, this new park is quite unique. People passing by will definitely notice or take a closer look," she stated.
