Pramono Calls for Dismissal of Firefighter Involved in Misconduct

The Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung, emphasized his commitment to take firm action against his staff involved in illegal extortion practices in the employee recruitment system.

Whoever did that to be fired

He conveyed this in response to the case of a resident who was suspected of being a victim of fraud by a member of the Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat).

If it is proven that they have committed extortion, Pramono confirmed that he will give strict sanctions to the individual in the form of dismissal.

"I have asked the relevant institutions, including the Fire Agency, whoever did that to be fired," said Pramono, Friday (10/2).

He emphasized that he would not tolerate any reprehensible actions that harm society.

"There is no tolerance for such things," Pramono emphasized.

As reported earlier, an East Jakarta resident admitted that he was asked to pay Rp 70 million to a member of the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency in order to pass the selection process for firefighters.

The payment was made last year. However, there has been no clarity regarding the recruitment process, leading the victim to file a report with the East Jakarta Metro Police.
