Free Reggae Festival on Untung Jawa Island This Saturday

The Seribu Islands Regency Government is again presenting the Thousand Islands Reggae Festival at Sakura Beach, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, Seribu Selatan Islands District.

The music festival, which is open to the public, takes place on Saturday (10/3), from 3 PM to 11 PM and is free of charge.

Assistant of Economy and Development for Seribu Island, Endro Mukti Wibowo said This entertainment event is projected to have a domino effect (multiplier effect) on the local economy.

"The arrival of tourists is expected to boost business revenues and increase accommodation occupancy. This is a crucial opportunity to introduce the maritime charm of the Seribu Islands more widely," he said, Friday (10/3).

Endro appealed to all attendees to prioritize order, cleanliness, and safety throughout the festival.

"Don't carry sharp weapons, avoid alcoholic drinks, and most importantly don't throw rubbish carelessly so that the beauty of our beaches is maintained," he appealed.

Meanwhile, Head Section of Attraction, Marketing, and Creative Economy of the Sub-agency, Chairul Anwar explained this festival is entering its third year and has received enthusiasm from the public, both from the Seribu Islands region and mainland Jakarta and its surroundings.

The Reggae Festival 2025 will be enlivened by a number of reggae musicians and groups, including Souljah, Dhyo Haw, D'Blow, Day Afternoon, Pappelion, Giant Rasta, and Lucky Jav.

"We invite all residents and tourists to come and enliven this beachside music party," he invited.
