Busway Sterilization as Part of Overcoming Traffic Jam

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said infrastructure development in Jakarta now has created more traffic jam. In order to overcome it, his side apply busway sterilization to speed up Transjakarta travel time.

Several infrastructure projects being run are 12 overpass and underpass, MRT, LRT, Transjakarta overpass lane, Semanggi flyover, and so on.

According to him, traffic jam will remain occur even though no infrastructure construction. It is because vehicle population in Jakarta grows significantly.
“New car registration per day is 300-400 cars, motorcycles are 800,” he closed.
In fact, citizens have option using Transjakarta as the alternative transport.
