Cars Parked on Lebak Bulus Raya Roadside Towed

The South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Wednesday (10/14), towed a car that had been parked for quite a long time on the roadside of Jalan Lebak Bulus Raya, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama.

We deployed a tow truck

Head of the Sub-agency, Bernad Oktavianus Pasaribu explained the towing was carried out following up on residents' complaints about a car covered with a tarpaulin on the roadside.

"We deployed a tow truck to the location to move the car to the agreed location," he said.

Based on the results of the inspection by officers in the field, Bernard added, the car was found to be damaged. Therefore, the owner chose to cover the car with a tarpaulin and park it on the side of the road.

Before moving the car, continued Bernad, officers from the sub-agency together with the local RT administrator helped mediate the problem with the vehicle owner.

After the mediation process, officers then coordinated with the Lebak Bulus Terminal to find a safer parking location that would not interfere with road use.

Head of Lebak Bulus Terminal, Joni Budi stated residents' vehicles are only permitted to park temporarily in the terminal area.

According to him, temporary parking permits were granted due to the limited location of the Lebak Bulus Terminal and the limited access for bus parking, as well as entry and exit, which requires a fairly large area.

"We allow the car to be parked temporarily, later after the repair process is complete, we ask that it be moved immediately," he admitted.
