City-owned bus operator PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has once again clinched the top spot in the Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) category for records management.
This marks our third consecutive win
The milestone seals a three-peat win for the company, ranking first in BUMD archival management for three years running.
Transjakarta President Director Welfizon Yuza revealed the company scored 98.8 (rated AA/Satisfactory) this year, topping last year’s 96.7.

“This marks our third consecutive win. We scored 96.7 last year and 98.8 this year. Compare that to four years ago when we sat at 60.7 before ever winning—it's a massive turnaround in just three years,” he expressed, Thursday (10/15).
According to him, defending the top rank comes down to a company-wide paradigm shift: valuing records as critical assets.
Rather than plain administrative files, records now act as strategic references powering Transjakarta’s sustainability and governance.
“First, we must recognize records as assets. Assets aren't just buildings or balance sheets—our documents and archives are true company assets as well,” he explained.
He explained that building this awareness across the workforce ensures archives get the care they deserve.
He went on to say that managing documents should be treated no differently than maintaining buses, depots, or balance sheets.
“When you treat something as an asset, good governance follows naturally. We protect our finances, and we maintain our land and depots. Records deserve that exact same mindset—and that’s what we had to establish from the get-go,” he continued.
Transjakarta continues to reinforce its corporate governance by establishing comprehensive guidelines, procedures, and work instructions, supported by certified archival talents.
The company confirmed it has appointed dedicated personnel specifically responsible for end-to-end archive management.
“Our skilled professionals play a pivotal role in ensuring our records management remains systematic, reliable, and sustainable,” he explained.
Beyond internal upgrades, Transjakarta has also benefited from hands-on guidance and oversight by the Jakarta Library and Archives Agency (Dispusip) and the Indonesia National Archives (ANRI).
He went on to say that that guidance ensures Transjakarta’s archive systems stay fully compliant with national standards.
He then highlighted consistency as the make-or-break factor to keeping the top ranking, noting that the rules are already clear and execution is what matters.
“It all comes down to consistency. The frameworks and rules are already set by the Archives Agency and ANRI—we just need to execute reliably,” he concluded.
Notably, the honors were unveiled at the bustling 2026 Pusta Karsa Festival, which took over Taman Ismail Marzuki from October 14 to 22.
The citywide initiative spotlights urgent efforts to rescue and preserve Jakarta’s public archives, applauding forward-leaning regional agencies that are rewriting the playbook on public records.
