Jokowi Continues Evaluating KJP Program

Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo admitted that, Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) still continues to be evaluated since a data from the Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) shows 19.4 percent of KJP miss-received.

There are still many things to do to evaluate KJP. First, the miss-received KJP recipient. Second, there are still cuts, though not all of them, but it needs to be fixed, as our correction

"There are still many things to do to evaluate KJP. First, the miss-received KJP recipient. Second, there are still cuts, though not all of them, but it needs to be fixed, as our correction," said Jokowi at City Hall on Friday (5/2).

City Has Fulfilled Residents’ Basic Needs

Jokowi re- emphasized that the existence of KJP is to cope with the burden of students who cannot afford the cost of educational needs such as uniforms, shoes, student transportation costs, textbooks and so forth.

"Those are that we cover in KJP, but in the implementation, there are things that still need to be fixed," said the former mayor of Surakarta.

Just to note, ICW has recently launched the founding cuts of Rp 50 thousand to Rp 100 thousand in the KJP program recipients. ICW also found 19.4 percent KJP recipients are miss-received, eventually, 31.7 percent recipients are stated lost. Allegedly, there are three political parties played in the KJP program.
