The Jakarta administration has reiterated that Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) will be prioritized as Persija Jakarta’s home base.
JIS belongs to Persija as their home
To protect the quality of the pitch, Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung plans to minimize concert events at the international stadium.
"With so many organizers currently looking to use JIS for concerts, we will definitely set limits—not every concert can take place. No matter what, I’ve told Jakpro that JIS belongs to Persija as their home," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (11/3).
Pramono Praise the Spirit of Persija PlayersHe noted that the field at JIS needs two weeks to bounce back after being used for events like concerts.
He added that the operators have assured that games will still go ahead once the grass recovers.
"And now we have a guarantee that, two weeks out from a concert, it will definitely be ready for a match," he stressed.
