Pramono-Rano Committed to Fully Support Persija

Jakarta Governor, Pramono Anung and Vice Governor Rano Karno held a meeting with management and football players of Persija Jakarta at City Hall Jakarta, Thursday (4/10).

During his speech, Pramono said their commitment in supporting Persija Jakarta.

Pramono Pushes for Mass Transportation Expansion

He hopes Persija will return to City Hall by bringing a winning cup.

"We invite Persija to City Hall. Usually they come with a cup, but today they are still preparing to bring it later," Pramono said.

One of Jakarta Provincial Government's support is about Persija's home base. Pramono added that the agreement between Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) with Persija was already signed on February 20, 2025.

It means, JIS is the home base of Persija Jakarta.

"One of the Persija's problem was when they play at home. Hopefully it is clear already that Persija can use JIS as their home base," he continued.

Pramono explained that Jakarta Provincial Government will give discount up to 60 percent for the entertainment tax for Persija. The team will also get assist to get more sponsorships.

"Together with Mr. Governor, I decided to give them 60 percent entertainment tax discount," he explained.

Pramono hopes the support will improve Persija performance for the sake of players' performance.

"Players like Ridho, Ferraru, Witan, Simic, Carlos Pena and Gustaf will be able to perform well," Pramono said.

Meanwhile, Persija Jakarta Manager, Bambang Pamungkas thanked Jakarta Provincial Government for the invitation and attention. Bambang admitted that Persija sets target to achieve something in 2027.

"We are given two years to prepare to bring a winning cup at Jakarta's 500th anniversary in 2027. Persija will also celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2028," Bambang said.

Bambang stated this meeting will surely tighten the synergy, and supports from Governor and Vice Governor should make Persija to perform better. According to him, it is important for Persija to perform maximally at home to get maximum points.

"As stated earlier, Persija can play home game in Jakarta. It is important thing to get maximum point while playing at home," he stated.
