Flooding Still Inundated Homes in Cipulir

Rain that flushed Jakarta, Depok and its surrounding areas on Sunday (7/3) afternoon yesterday, causing overflowing water of the Pesanggrahan River. As a result, the one-meter high flood inundates citizen’s homes at RT 07 and 08/RW 10 Cipulir Urban Village.

Water level is between 30-100 centimeters. Until now, citizen is still survive on second floor of their homes

Cipulir Urban Village Head, Adi Krisna Prayoga disclosed, water from Pesanggrahan River was overflowed in the morning at around 6 AM. The water level continues to rise around 10 AM.

Floods in E. Jakarta is Due to Poor Infrastructure

"Water level is between 30-100 centimeters. Until now, citizen is still survive on second floor of their homes," he told, Monday (7/4).

Additionally, his side along with South Jakarta City Disaster Mitigation Office (KPBK) have appealed locals who take homecoming to turn off electricity power and secure property first before leaving. 

"They already understand if their residential is prone to flood, so we just remind them," he said.
