Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said dike construction in Pasar Ikan, Penjaringan, North Jakarta is still waiting for auction process. He ensures the construction to be run this year.

According to him, dike construction will complete the arrangement of Pasar Ikan area. Dike will block tidal wave that usually flooded the surrounding areas.
“It awaits auction process. Our first focus is finishing dike construction, then arranging Pasar Ikan,” he said, Wednesday (7/13).
Historical Sites in Pasar Ikan RestoredPreviously, Pasar Ikan residents have been relocated to Rawa Bebel flat, East Jakarta. The area will be made as nautical tourism site.
Jakarta Provincial Government has involved archaeologist to arrange the Pasar Ikan. It is hoped the arrangement could restore the area just like the old time.
