Renggo’s Death Over Bullying Case Reported to Governor

The death case of Renggo Kadapi (11), a 5th grader of State Elementary School (SDN) Makasar 09, East Jakarta, is still being investigated deeply by Jakarta Education Department. As reported earlier, the boy is allegedly died after being bullied by his senior students.

Deputy Head of Jakarta Education Department, Istaryatiningtyas, told that her department has questioned some teachers and supervisors in SDN Makasar 09. “ I’ve made a written report to Mr. Governor and we (Education Department) have conducted investigation . Yesterday, we also visited the victim’s home as well as questioned the school supervisors and teachers at Education Department office,” she stated, Monday (5/5).

According to Istaryatiningtyas, because yesterday the school was off, Jakarta Education Department will come to the school today and ask the teachers and headmaster to improve supervision. “We will solve this case as soon as possible,” she asserted.
