An electricity pole on Jl Pegangsaan, Cikini Urban Village, Menteng, Central Jakarta, precisely in front of Bung Karno University (UBK), burned on Monday (7/28). There was no casualty reported in the incident.

Section Head of Operational for Central Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Muchtar Zakaria disclosed that his side got fire report at around 4.35 Am and managed to control it at 5.10 AM.

"We send one fire truck to the scene and we control the flames using three portable fire extinguisher (APAR) tools," he told.

He added the fire itself was triggered by electricity short-circuit from a cable of electricity pole.
