Jokowi Pantau Vaksinasi Ulang di Puskesmas Ciracas

Jokowi Monitors Revaccination in Ciracas Puskesmas

Indonesian President, Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo does a sudden inspection (sidak) to the Ciracas Sub-district Puskesmas, Jl Haji Baping, Ciracas, East Jakarta, Monday (7/18). The visit is to see the victims who have harmed with fake vaccine.

I came here to get the correct information. Neither of puskesmas, Health Ministry or other health services

Jokowi mentions, in Ciracas, there are currently 197 toddlers injected with fake vaccine. From that number, 36 toddlers have been re-vaccinated.

Vaccine injection is conducted in a tent that set up on an empty land on the north side of Pasar Rebo Sub-district Puskesmas.

Vaccine at Hospital Must Be Supervised

"I came here to get the correct information. Neither of puskesmas, Health Ministry or other health services," said Jokowi.

According to him, in handling fake vaccine, the process is longer. This is because there must be accurate data and be investigated. Thus the victim can be handled completely.

He disclosed fake vaccine case is a momentum to fix the management of distribution, either related to the pharmaceutical industry or the distribution system of drugs, including vaccines. Of course all must be done carefully because it concerns the future of the children.

He also ordered the police chief and National Police Criminal Investigation Corps (bareskrim) chief to research and investigate one by one in detail. Thus network of fake vaccines can be prevented in Indonesia.

Jokowi also urged residents who have not registered to conduct revaccination, that is by going to the nearest puskesmas. This is because the city administration opens service post for fake vaccine victims in all puskesmas.
