City Takes Over Bantargebang Dump Site Management

Jakarta Provincial Government is officially take over the Bantar Gebang integrated dump site management. Contract termination with PT Godang Tua Jaya (GTJ) and PT Navigat Organic Energy Indonesia (NOEI) has been sent on Tuesday (7/19).

“By delivering the termination contract letter, Jakarta Provincial Government fully manages the dump site,” said Isnawa, Wednesday (7/20).

PT GTJ and PT NOEI must stop all work, empty the area, and give all asset as well as facility and infrastructure to Jakarta Provincial Government lately 60 days after the termination date.

UMP-Based Salary Given for Bantar Gebang Workers

“PT GTJ and PT NOEI have failed to meet their obligation. We also have delivered first up to third warning letters,” he added.

In the near time, Jakarta Dept. of Cleanliness will prepare compensation money for the residents. The compensation will be given to 18 thousand household by Rp 500 thousand per three months.

His side will also provide BPJS Kesehatan service for 6,000 scavengers.

“We take the existing workers as agency’s freelancer. They will get province-based wage, 13rd salary, and BPJS,” he continued.
