Jakarta to Host 12th World Islamic Economic Forum

Jakarta Provincial Government is ready to welcome guests of state, precisely the participants of the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) which will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), August 2-4.

"All preparation is okay, including security lanes and so on," said Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, after he attended in a succession meeting Jakarta as the host of WIEF, at the office of State Secretariat Ministry, Monday (7/25).

He disclosed election of Indonesia, especially Jakarta to host the 12th WIEF is a form of international confidence. This is because tolerance and harmony among religious adherents in Indonesia remain interwoven.

"We hope this forum can show the entire delegation that Indonesia as the largest Muslim country is the safest, the most tolerant. And Islam in Indonesia, is a peaceful and tolerant," he uttered.

He also asked the citizens, to keep maintaining religious harmony. Thus it can anticipate undesirable things that could tarnish the good name of Indonesia in the eyes of the international community.
