Jakarta Dept. of City Parks and Cemeteries is about to improve land condition of Karet Bivak cemetery, Tanah Abang which always flooded during rain. The agency will heighten the basin area.

“There is also request to move the cemetery at basin are, but it is impossible. We will heighten the area,” said Siti Hasmi, Head Division of Cemetery for the agency, Monday (7/25).

Before starting the project, her side will prepare water pump to suck the water during rain.

“Pump installation is just temporary. It will be implemented by Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of City Parks and Cemeteries,” she added.
