Ironically, the prospective owner of the tomb is also in charge of the tomb licensing in the TPU management and PTSP offices.

Head of East Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept, Christian Tamora Hutagalung disclosed that many parties booked tombs for themselves. Even they are willing to pay a levy cemetery every year and renew the licensing. It is mostly committed by former official or those who will retire.

"We'll control the booking tombs. Most buyers are official, actress and so on," he told.

He mentions one of the buyers is Bambang Sugito (52), a citizen of Cibubur Sub-district. He was detained when he was trying to renew the tomb licensing (IPTM) in Cibubur Urban Village PTSP last week.

The PTSP officer was surprised when trying to match the name of the heirs and the bodies that buried in Pondok Rangon TPU. No wonder, the name was the same. The heirs and buried is the same person. When being questioned, he booked a tomb for himself.

He spent Rp 7.5 million for two plots of tomb. He booked it in Pondok Rangon TPU from the management staff of the tomb.

"The reason is he could be buried in the front line near his mother if he passed away," he explained.

It has violated the bylaw No. 3/2007 on Public Cemetery. Because the tomb is only for the dead. Thus the booking that has been running will be canceled entirely.

"We have not had a real data of tomb that had been booked by people who are still alive," he uttered.
