From 3 Cities, More Than 200 Fictitious Tombs Detected

More than 200 fictitious tombs are detected from Public Cemeteries (TPU) that spread in East Jakarta, Central Jakarta and West Jakarta. 

 most fictitious tombs are found in Tegal Alur TPU, West Jakarta with 160 tombs

Jakarta Park and Cemetery Dept Head, Djafar M acknowledged has checked public cemeteries in West, Central and East Jakarta.

"From that number, most fictitious tombs are found in Tegal Alur TPU, West Jakarta with 160 tombs and followed by public cemeteries in East and Central Jakarta," he disclosed, Wednesday (7/27).

Council Wants Tomb to Be Checked Routinely

He asserted has investigated official, staff until freelancer under Jakarta Park and Cemetery Dept. Since June 2016, his dept has fired and demoted 75 percent of employees and freelancers.

According to the data that gathered, for one booking, the buyer could spend Rp 3-7 million. "We're targeting to solve the case within three months. And then make a report to PTSP," he stated.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept, Romi Sidharta expressed, thus far, from some cemeteries, his side has checked tombs in Semper TPU, Cilincing Sub-district. There was not found the fictitious tomb.

"Currently we're still checking cemeteries in North Jakarta," he said.
