Although the broker practice supervision during KIR process has been intensified, yet the Ombudsman still found it in the capital.

This is serious problem, and must be responded

Indonesian Ombudsman Leader, Alamsyah Saragih disclosed, broker practice is still rampant. It happens during KIR test. They openly carry out the action in front of the KIR test center.

Expired KIR, 15 AKAP Buses Netted

He wants Jakarta government to seriously resolve the case. "This is serious problem, and must be responded," he asserted.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Andri Yansyah admitted has done anticipation to minimize the broker action during KIR test. Besides tightening supervision, the information and technology (IT) are also utilized in KIR test.

"I had explained it before that KIR test has used IT. Thus there will no longer discretion from the officer," he admitted.

But it caused another obstacle, that is a decline in the number of vehicles that will be tested. Before using IT, his dept could absorb 700 fleets compared to this time, that is only 400 fleets.

He added that the cause is long queue. To solve it, KIR through private side will be applied. "Minimally, there are two KIR centers for them," he closed.
