Ujung Menteng PKB Still Rampant with KIR Broker

Although roadworthiness test (kir) broker has been controlled, yet its existence in Ujung Menteng Motor Vehicle Testing Center (PKB), Cakung, East Jakarta is still rampant. No wonder, there are still vehicle owners use broker service during kir test because it is deemed easier and practical.

I usually use broker service during kir test. For dump truck, I just pay Rp 350,000, but its official is Rp 80,000

Based on Beriajakarta.com, tens of brokers are seen at the gate towards kir test site. Most of them sitting under a tent which is next to the security post on the west side of Ujung Menteng PKB.

Safari, (51), one of residents who will process dump truck kir stated, he already aubscribed broker service initials J (42) thus kir can be easier, practical and fast. Through broker, he will pass the test, even though there is vehicle violation. Its service cost, depends on type and deficiency in vehicle.

"I usually use broker service during kir test. For dump truck, I just pay Rp 350,000, but its official is Rp 80,000," he told, Monfay (5/23).

Meanwhile, J, a kir broker in Ujung Menteng PKB expressed can only help vehicles that have kir booking number.

"Actually I do not set the payment, but just pay me," he stated.

At the same place, Slamet (37), another resident expressed he was not interested to use broker service. Because, his vehicle is worthy and have complete document. So far, residents still use its service due to unworthy vehicle.

"I prefer to process kir by myself due to cheap than broker service," he stressedm

So far, there has been no official information from related unit. Head of Technical Management Unit for Ujung Menteng PKB, Dedi Dwi Widodo still cannot be contacted, either through his phone or short message.
