Cilincing Fishermen Impacted by Extreme Weather

The extreme weather gives impact for Cilincing fishermen due to high wave. The fishermen stopped their activity since two months ago.

I go to the sea for getting fish three times a week only

Ansori (56), one of fishermen, said it is too danger going to the sea during bad weather. Moreover, the result is not quite many.

“I go to the sea for getting fish three times a week only,” he said, Tuesday (7/26).

City Anticipate Impact of La Nina

If the weather is normal, he can get fish, squid, and so on up to five quintals.

“We can sell it Rp 1.5 million. But today is different, Rp 750 thousand is already big enough,” he added.

The same thing is also uttered by Mansur (52). He explained that he can sell up to Rp 12 million during January-May periods.

“Weather condition gives us alert for not sailing too far,” he stated.
