Jakarta Provincial Government has taken the management of Bantar Gebang Integrated Dump Site. Now the Jakarta Dept. of Cleanliness still needs heavy equipment for trash handling.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said will add the heavy equipment gradually.
“Bantar Gebang remains run normally, we’ll add the heavy equipment later,” he said, Friday (7/29).
City Council Suggests BUMD to Manage Bantar GebangBasuki added that the existing heavy equipments can be maximized since it is a new product.
Basuki has asked the agency to buy the heavy equipment since long time ago. But the bought equipments are not maximal.
According to him, buying heavy equipment is cheaper compared to pay third party managing the dump site. One year is cost Rp 400 billion, while buying one heavy equipment is Rp 1-2 billion.
“We have calculated everything. Bantar Gebang dump site take over plan was delivered since 2013 ago,” he closed.
