During January to August 1, 2016, fire case in East Jakarta reached 105 cases which killed four and injured 11 people.

East Jakarta Head Section Operation for Sub-dept. of Fire Handling and Rescue, Gatot Sulaiman, said the case is mostly caused by short-circuit electricity by 62 cases, followed by other 34 factors and nine gas stove.
“105 fire cases are calculated from January to August. We appeal the citizens to be aware with this case,” he said, Monday (8/1).
