The price of red onion at Induk Kramat Jati Market, East Jakarta is declining. This condition is caused by huge distribution by the end of July and this early August.

Nurman Adhi, market manager, admitted that red onion price in June was fluctuate. The price was high during first week up to fourth of July, then it declined in fifth week of July and this early August.
In last first week of June, the price was Rp 33,100, second week was Rp 42,200, third was Rp 34,143, fourth was Rp 37,875. In fifth week up to early August, the price is Rp 36,800/kg.

The low distribution caused by the end of harvesting period in Weleri and Demak, Central Java. Now the distribution relies in Brebes, Patrol Indramayu and Cirebon.
