ERP Auction Has Been Running

J akarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama said the auction of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) has been running since Tuesday (8/2) evening. ERP can be done after the signing of the gubernatorial regulation on the vehicle restriction system.

He believes many companies will join the auction. Moreover, there have been two companies conduct trial by installing an ERP gantry. The first trial was carried out in Sudirman area from the Swedish company, Kapsch.

The second trial is conducted by Norwegian company, Q-Free that also involved information technology company IBM from the United States. The trial is done on Jalan Rasuna Said.

"I believe many companies to join here, because we already have the example," he told.

Such system is hoped can be installed by the end of this year. After ERP is applied, the odd-even system will be deactivated. Because ERP is deemed more effective to limit vehicles on protocol road.
