Sidewalk on Jl H Agus Salim Occupied by PKL

Apparently, Jakarta Satpol PP must often monitor the activities of street vendors (PKL) at night. This is because on Jl H Agus Salim, Gambir, Central Jakarta, there are tens of PKL open stall and put cart carelessly on the sidewalk every night.

Based on Beritajakarta.com, at night, the sidewalk of Jl H Agus Salim is occupied by PKL selling snack and beverage. Not only PKL. the road is also used as illegal parking for two-wheeled vehicle that guarded by illegal attendant.

"Jl H Agus Salim is included in ring 1. It should be free from PKL," said Anton (29), a road user, Friday (8/5).

PKL Stalls in Kramat Jati Controlled

Anton hopes the officer could immediately control them soon.

"Similar condition always seen at night. There is no officer patrol in the field. Road user cannot pass the sidewalk due to blocked by PKL," he told.

When being confirmed, Section Head of Operational and Law Enforcement for Jakarta Satpol PP, Budhi Novian admitted he had difficulties to monitor them due to limited officer. His 150 personnel are also assigned to help monitoring the odd-even system trial.

"This is new location and alive at night, We will control soon," he finished.
