250 Sacks of Mud Picked Up from Channel in Monas

The water channel and conduit outside of the National Monument (Monas), Gambir, Central Jakarta is cleaned by Central Jakarta Water Management Sub-dept. They managed to pick up hundreds of sacks containing mud and garbage.

Section Head of Central Jakarta Water Management Sub-dept, Boris Karlop Lumbangaol disclosed, it is a routine maintenance. With continuous cleaning, the water capacity can be maximized.

"Until today, we have picked up 250 sacks of mud and garbage," he told, Tuesday (8/9).

Channel & Conduit Around Presidential Palace Cleaned

He uttered, the channel as long as 3.8 km with 1.5 m wide and 1.8 m deep are strewn by mud as thick as 50 cm. The cleaning has been done since Saturday 98/6) and is predicted to be complete on October 6, 2016.

"We send 16 officers to the field," he finished.
