Parking Building will Be Multiplied on Army/Police Lands

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama plans to multiply parking building on empty lands belong to army/police. It is because the land for park and ride continues to increase in line with additional lower deck bus in the capital.

"We want to discuss whether there is empty land or not. We want to multiply parking building for army/police, because park and ride will be much needed in Jakarta," he disclosed, at City Hall, Tuesday (8/9).

He predicts 150 lower deck buses will be ready by the end of this year or early year. Additionally, there will be also 40 free double-decker buses.

City Police Parking Building Construction Started

With the increasing number of these buses, riders are expected to switch to public transport. Moreover, buses ordered are international brands.

"We hope vehicle can be entrusted in the city if the traffic jam happens," he stated. 

As planned, Basuki would announce his plan in halal bi halal event that held at City Hall this noon. "We'll hold a halal bi halal along with Forkopimda, army and police," he finished.
