Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama is targeting to operate the project of Light Rail Transit (LRT) in the upcoming 2018. Considering it will be used as one of transportation modes for 2018 Asian Games.

Basuki disclosed, at this time, the project that managed by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) is under progress. "Certainly, heavy equipment has been sent to the field," he told.
City-South Jakarta Interested to Develop LRTThe project also gets aid from South Korean Government. They conduct review for seven corridors.
"They're also reviewing seven corridors. Everything goes well," he told.
As known, a groundbreaking for LRT is done coincided with city's anniversary on June 22, 2016. For the initial phase, first phase is Kelapa Gading-Velodrome.
