"We've installed a filter machine as security gate, but it was demolished by locals, especially during rain. Because they assume it has impeded water flow," said Dina Himawati, Head of Ragunan Zoo Management Office, South Jakarta, Monday (8/15).

According to him, there should be education to locals about filter installation towards the lake. Hence, her side would coordinate with local urban villages and sub-districts.

"There must be synergy from all parties, including cleanliness dept in term of cleanliness," she stated.

From five lakes, she added, there is only one used as a water tour ride, which is near crocodile location. And four other units are still active as shelter and water infiltration. She hoped, along with cleanliness dept, other lake recreations can add new locations.
