Trash Filter at Hek Sluice Gate will Be Widened

are two sluice gates that the water river heading up to Cipinang River
precisely in front of the trash filter. The device installed in parallel by the

Maintenance Head of East Jakarta Water Management,
Mukhid said the puddle is triggered by narrowing trash filter. Ideally,

flow smoothly.
“Severe puddle never happened just like this. Since
narrowed filter installed, water flow is hard to flow and eventually overflowed
to road,” he said.
Mukhid conveyed that Jakarta Public Work
Department installed trash filter in 2014. However, he will report the real
condition in field to related department. It feared to violate the rules if the
filter is dismantled.
Nur Cahyadi (27), Hek sluice gate keeper, added
that sluice gate towards Cipinang River is already opened. But it still yet
optimal due to trash piles up.
“It’s just small filter actually, so
the previous sluice gate cannot function optimally,” he expressed.
Around 90 houses at RT 01/01 Tengah Urban Village
were inundated with vary level water between 50-100 centimeters due to Baru River overflowed.
One sluice gate already opened widely around 1
meters. Two gates towards Cipinang river with respective two meters width are
still function normally.
