35 Illegal Buildings at Kober Cemetery Dismantled

As many as 35 illegal buildings at Kober Rawabunga cemetery, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, are demolished, Thursday (8/18). The illegal buildings existence have disturbed the public order, especially visitors.

We have delivered warning letter to the building owners. Some of the buildings have been dismantled by them

Jatinegara Sub-district Head, Nasrudin Abubakar, said the buildings have been existing for five years. Mostly are used as housing, stall, car workshop, and so on.

“We have delivered warning letter to the building owners. Some of the buildings have been dismantled by them,” he said, Thursday (8/18).

According to him, there is no relocation for them since they have illegally occupied the area.

East Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of City Park and Cemetery, Christian Tamora Hutagalung, admitted his side will install fences for the area.

“Fences will be installed to avoid cars are parked at the cemetery area,” he stated.

Car parking lot appears because of car workshop is exist there.
