5,500 Residents in S. Jakarta Have Yet to Get E-ID Card

Thousands of South Jakarta residents who have conducted data recording for e-ID card are not yet receiving the card. This is due to unavailable blank from Ministry of Home Affairs.

Per day, we need 1,300 blanks to print. Thus its shipment is focused on 10 sub-districts first

Head of South Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-dept, Sapto Wibowo disclosed, data on August 2016, there were 178,717 applicants. From that number, 168,147 e-ID cards have been printed and the rest 5,570 cards are not yet.

"Per day, we need 1,300 blanks to print. Thus its shipment is focused on 10 sub-districts first," he expressed, Monday (8/22).

Jakartans Appealed to Immediately Process E-ID Card

According to him, per day, his side can only distribute 900 cards to 10 sub-districts in South Jakarta.
