Controlling in Taman Sari Stopped

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama instructs West Jakarta Mayor Anas Effendi to stop the controlling at Taman Sari. The land is not owned by government and will not be used as public facility.

“I instruct the mayor to stop the controlling. It has no relation with government project,” he said, Tuesday (8/23).

Basuki lets both side to negotiate.

According to him, the sent warning letter will be revoked. The mayor’s way is not completely wrong since there is regulation under it. But his side prefers negotiation way to solve the matter.

“Warning letter can not be continued. Court could decide local head to execute,” he added.

The condition could be different if the land is used as river normalization. Officials are able not use regulation if harming the citizens.

“Do not follow the regulation if this will disadvantage the people,” he closed.
